We had a wonderful turnout for our 20th class reunion! We saw a total of 72 different classmates between the two night event on June 19 and 20, 2009. Thank you to everyone who made an effort to be there! We had a wonderful time. I know there were several of you that really wished that you could be there and we certainly missed all of you. There are 2 slideshows that I'm attaching on our blog, one for Friday night and one for Saturday night. Class of '89 20th Reunion in Crookston, MN

IT'S ALMOST HERE!!!

Hi, Class of '89! It's almost time for us to gather and re-live our glory days! We've had a great response and hope to have great attendance! There's been some questions as to "dress code" and my response is simply to dress comfortably! It's not the Ritz, and although it's technically a "country club", we all know that things are pretty casual around there. If you feel like dressing up, please do! If not, most of us are probably most comfortable in jeans. Whatever the case, just get your asses to the reunion and have some fun!

Please remember that you'll have to pay at the door upon arrival ($20/person) via check or cash only. This is to cover basic costs - food, door prizes, hall rental, etc. Check out the entire blog to get info for golf, lunch, accommodations, etc. Thanks and I look forward to seeing you all!

CASH AT THE DOOR PLEASE


For convenience purposes, we are going to simply charge attendees AT THE DOOR upon arrival at Saturday night's event at the Minakwa. We have decided to serve heavy appetizers only instead of a sit down dinner because it will be easier to visit with people that way and we won't have to worry about providing an accurate headcount to the Minakwa. The fee will include appetizers throughout the evening, hall rental, and door prizes. If you are not yet certain of your attendance, we can certainly take payment as you arrive at the Minakwa on Saturday night. The bar at Minakwa will be cash bar/no host. You'll be required to pay for any and all drinks you consume. Golf is a separate charge and will be your responsibility if you choose to participate, as well as the pizza for your family if you choose to attend lunch on Saturday at Happy Joe's.

We realize that we cannot get 100% attendance no matter when we would have selected our reunion date or make 100% of our classmates happy with the plans or date selected, but we sincerely hope that you can make the effort to be there if you can. We'd love to see you and catch up! Thanks for your consideration.

Reunion Weekend Schedule

Friday, June 19

• 7pm: Meet at Northland Inn's Bar for a "Meet & Greet". Please join us if you get into town soon enough and start catching up with old friends!
  

Saturday, June 20

• Morning: Golf at Minakwa - to be determined - Mike Biermaier will be handling tee times.
  
• 10:00am: Tour of CHS building - Rae Howe French has secured Tour Guides.
  
• 12:00 Noon: Family Lunch at Happy Joe's - backroom is reserved. Family Playdate at Wildwood Park immediately following for those interested.
• 6:00pm: Main Event - Minakwa Country Club - Appetizers served, cash bar, slideshow, music, and door prizes.

MENU: Appetizers served throughout the evening - Meat/cheese trays, BBQ Hot Dogs, Taco Dip/Chips, Chicken Drummies, Fresh Fruit Tray, Chips/Dip, Bread/Dip, Meatballs. Cash Bar - No host.

Golf Option

Mike Biermaier has arranged some golf tee times at Minakwa Country Club for Saturday, June 20th. There is an FCA Golf Tournament that day from 8am to 2pm, so Mike has scheduled 5 tee times beginning at 2:30pm. Our evening event begins at 6:00pm, but since we are now serving appetizers throughout the evening instead of a sitdown dinner, our golfers can roll in whenever they are done golfing for the day.
